What We Collect

FitCoach AI collects information you provide directly: account details (email), body metrics (height, weight, age, gender), dietary logs (food descriptions, photos, calorie estimates), activity logs, and weight records.

How We Use Your Data

• Calculate your personalized calorie budget and macro targets
• Process food photos and descriptions through AI for calorie estimation
• Display your tracking history and progress
• Process payments through Stripe (we do not store payment card details)

AI Processing

Food photos and text descriptions are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for nutritional analysis. Photos are processed in real-time and are not stored by the AI provider after processing. Your food data may be cached locally to improve future search results.

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies ensuring only you can access your own data. Food photos uploaded for recognition are stored in encrypted cloud storage.

Your Rights

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, all personal data, food logs, activity logs, and uploaded photos will be permanently removed.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all data is removed within 30 days.
